The model will receive a traditional hybrid powertrain and a PHEV option
Toyota has released images of the C-HR Prologue concept, which is expected to be reborn as a production crossover next year. The compact cross will get an appearance in the current style of the brand, which has already been tried on by the Aygo X, the bZ3 sedan, the fifth generation Prius, and the electric bZ Compact SUV shown in November. There are still few details about the “technology”, but it is known that in Europe the model will be offered with two hybrid power plants.
The C-HR Prologue concept looks sportier than the current C-HR. Models got shorter overhangs, three-color body coloring, branded hammerhead nose (“hammerhead fish”), all-LED optics with curved headlights and a large diffuser. C-HR is guessed due to the proportions, as well as small side windows.
The show car also demonstrates tiny cameras instead of rear-view mirrors and door handles hidden in the body – probably these details will not go into series. Toyota says that thanks to shortened overhangs and a slightly longer wheelbase, they managed to make the crossover “more spacious and practical.” Big screens are also promised for the new C-HR, but the company has decided to keep the interior a secret for now, completely darkening the windows.
